Michael Meechin, M.Ed.

Michael Meechin is a national keynote speaker, practicing high school principal, educational consultant, and writer. Michael has worked with districts and schools across the United States and Canada on issues ranging from educational reform, high-impact instructional strategies, grading and assessment, instructional technology, school culture building and rebranding, and instructional leadership strategies.
Meechin is a product of the inner-city public education system. He has spent his career working with high needs populations in Central Florida and Metropolitan Atlanta. Serving as a social studies teacher, AVID coordinator, data and assessment coordinator, dean of students, assistant principal and principal, Mike has a wide array of experiences which make him an asset to schools and districts looking for support in improving their practice.
Mike serves on the Advisory Board for the Future of Educational Technology Conference, one of the largest technology conferences in North America. Michael is a member of the State of Florida AVID Principals' Collaborative (www.avid.org) and the Florida Department of Education Brian Dassler Leadership Academy.
In 2018, Mike was selected State of Florida Innovative Principal of the Year by the Florida Council of Instructional Technology Leaders.
Michael resides in Central Florida with his wife Angela, and their children Kennedy and Jack.
